FAQ

Questions, answered

Is it really okay to email the hiring manager?

Yes. Speaking as a recruiter: I appreciate it when a candidate emails me, and when a manager forwards me a candidate's note, I appreciate that too. It stands out. Keep it short and sincere, send it once, and follow up once. A hard sell or a stream of emails is what annoys people; a three-sentence note does not. So don't be shy.

Which job links work?

Links from LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor, Monster, CareerBuilder, Dice, SimplyHired and company careers pages. If a link doesn't work, paste the job description instead.

Do you send the emails for me?

Never. We draft the note; you send it yourself, from your own email, in your own voice. That's what works, and it keeps you in control.

Why do you show recruiters, too?

Hiring is a team. If your note reaches someone who isn't handling that job, they'll usually forward it to the teammate who is. Two doors beat one.

How accurate is it?

We measure it on real job postings and we'll publish the rate before we open, along with how we measured it. Every name is labeled for how sure we are, and a miss costs you nothing.

What if an email bounces?

Tap "It bounced". Your credit comes back, and we show you the next person to write to.

Do you use my LinkedIn?

No. We never log into LinkedIn or ask for your account. We research from public sources.

Is there a subscription?

No. Names are free; packs are one-time. Nothing renews.
